Wooden Ramp Weakness
Don't use wooden ramps
We have several cases about custom made wooden ramps. After a while, customer replace them by aluminum alloy ramps because the weakness of wooden ramps. Heavy, rotten and insect-eaten, not cheap at all compare to metal material. Telescopic Ramps under 213CM will cheaper than wooden ramps.
Plywood is lightter weight but got rotten very easy. Solid wood is durable but super heavy, difficult to storage. Restricted volume and weight may apply height restrictions, only for lower height threshold.
In this case, the ladder is 80cm high but only uses 180cm long wooden ramps... The strongest record so far! The slope gradient is 26.38 and the slope ratio is 1/2.25. Fortunately, the person in the wheelchair is not heavy, so two people have to be dispatched every time The woman worked hard to push and pull the large wooden ramp board 180cm long x 100cm wide x 80cm high from the corner of the stairs in the security door to the main door stair frame. Then the two women used their strength to hold the wheelchair up and used their lives in the wheelchair. Make a bet and push the wheelchair down the stairs. The wheelchair tilts backward at a very large angle. If you are not careful, it will roll over! It is definitely not only the person in the wheelchair who is injured.
Another case
The weight is not light at all. The point is how to move and storage. Where is the anti-skid feature? No support rim to prevent out of rail.
